4th Day with my iMac

thought i'd post initial reaction thread concerning acquired 27" 2.7ghz i5.
had dell 20" desktop died , replaced mac. i've been using mid-2010 13" mbp exclusively past year , haven't used big screen computer in awhile.
after setting (10 minutes tops), fired , began question purchase immediately. screen plain old huge!!! huge in fact, felt made terrible decision not opting 21.5. wife started complaining how challenging looking @ screen real estate. however, i'm bit stubborn , decided gonna learn live regardless.
2nd day machine, , felt same way! did notice looking around screen seemed bit easier, still enormous , intimidating. played on imac day 2nd day spending quality time , tweaking personal taste.
3rd day started "feel" more comfortable machine. while still large, no longer intimidating. on mbp used expose , 9 spaces. however, large screen, couldn't used full screen apps or justify need multiple spaces. large screen, feels more comfortable (to me) use 1 desktop. mission control along cinch allows me have information need on same desktop. while full screen apps useful laptop, don't see utility on massive screen of imac.
4th day, imac starting feel more 'normal'. know (for first time since arrived) used , enjoy it.
advise on fence. must give time adjust massive display.
not complete roses yet...i still have minor quirks i'm working through.
1st: lion uses gestures find myself not 'resting' hand on trackpad, rather holding elevated above it. causes strain on lower forearm after few hours use. there has way rest hand beside or onto of trackpad when not using without making inadvertent gestures.
2nd: reading text on such high pixel dense display. personal preference. don't have trouble reading webpages, text smaller i've ever had before poor monitors. understand can zoom , change resolution. however, stated earlier i'm bit stubborn , refuse give on resolution without giving myself opportunity adjusted.
i'm going on 5th day tomorrow, still have learning curve adjust to. thought i'd share initial thoughts on new machine. it's fast, sleek, , beautiful in office. can't imagine using else...and can't wait till i'm adjusted massive display.

bought 27"because needed real estate multi visor, phot , music applications.
delighted day 1 migrated 21" screen maybe not such adjustment.
say, give little time , wonder how did without it. go mb after couple of weeks , you'll see mean.
use laptop unless have now
