Backup hard drives

recently have been looking buying backup hard drive hooked via firewire 800 imac...

im wanting make 3 4 parattions on drive
partitions:
1. time machine
2. sl bootable (incase harddrive dies ever reason or if somthing happens )
3. lion bootable (when released soon)(not sure if imgoing it)
4. not sure may not 4 partions

ive looked @ raid drives , standard 1 , 2 tb drives, idea of raid 1, 1tb drive mirrored on secound..

possible partition raid on drives? work properly? want possible?

note: trying stay under 150 bucks on drive.

 

sounds want 3 .0tb drive.

Mail will not Quit when shutting down

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
