Youtube videos will not play?

i have mid-2010 mbp 15" notebook running snow leopard. earlier today able play videos on youtube. can't. black box without play/pause toggle controls when cursor moved. significant change update apple pushed java today. can play videos on hulu , other flash-based video sites. video doesn't work on safari, google chrome, or firefox. provided screenshot below if helps. again!

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
