iMac 2011 + Vertex 3 SSD + OS X 10.6.8 = works?

my imac 27" core i7 3.4ghz.
planning upgrade ssd (adding vertex 3 240g ssd boot drive).
however, found lot of vertex 3 windows users suffered system frozen.
know wether happen mac users? , 10.6.8 can avoid problem?
help.
 

i have added 240gig vertex 3 27" 2011 i7 imac running 10.6.8 , couldn't happier..
working fine.:)

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
