Ipad 4.2.1 Cydia Install Problem

and followed uber confusing guides on int jailbreak ipad= use redsn0w install cydia. im left blank cydia icon doesnt open. told need boot tethered thingy on redsn0w ive done countless times , still didnt work. plz! how fix prob?
 

which ipad have?

can't jailbreak ipad on 4.2.1.

use greenpoison jailbreaking ipad1! easier , untethered!

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
