ok own sony vaio(4gb i3/2.4ghz/500gb/bluray dr) selling it, computer couple of months old , couple hundred dollars cheaper mbp. decided make switch pc mac. kid brother had done when bought 13inch mbp christmas , decided time did same.
bought apple certified refurbished 15inch macbook pro 320gb 2.4ghz $1269 . it'll deliver on june 14th according confirmation email got apple. so, did or not great deal felt was? honest holding out back2school promo , planning on getting 13 inch model vaio 14 inches , don't idea of having smaller screen. would've been downgrade in eyes. sure, don't 200 dollars could've gotten selling ipod touch , spending couple of hundred dollars more think it's worth it. did bit of research , checked out ebay , other online stores(macmall, macconnections) didn't find close price.

i'm thinking of upgrading 2011 27" imac's ram stock 4gb 12gb. plan on installing , running windows 7 home premium (64-bit) through boot camp , parallels. what's max amount of ram can have installed in case? windows 7 recognize 12gb installed without problem? as long install 64-bit version of windows, can utilize of ram. 2011 imac can take 32gb (4x8gb) though 12gb should plenty.
