New Mac Mini or New MacBook Air?

so, here situation. have 3 macs. macbook connected hdtv needs phased out, mac mini (2.26 c2d, 4gb ram, 9400m) primary desktop/media server , old macbook pro (2.2 cd2, 4gb ram, 8600m 128mb). here 2 options considering.

1: purchase new mac mini (i7, ssd, 6630m) , have take place of current mini , migrate tv. continue use aging macbook pro on go. give me chance set down , play game or 2 old pc days.

2: purchase new macbook air (13" 128 gb base) replace macbook pro. in scenario still move current mini tv, macbook pro become desktop , take role media server. grant me better "couch" experience.

split. when comes down it, need else @ tv. old macbook chugs 1080p video, plus sounds jet engine. budget under $1500 thats why considering high end mini or mid range air.
 

get base ($599) mini, upgrade ram (less $100 8gb), air. keeps right close budget , should cover needs nicely....

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
