Safari 5.1 in Lion not honouring new tab order feature

apparently safari 5.1 honours new tab order on new tab opening right of active tab , not @ end of tab index. reason safari in fresh install of lion not honouring new feature. has ran this? preference tweaked in conflict this?
 

having same issue

having same issue on 2 computers (one lion, 1 snow leopard) after upgrading safari 5.1. tabs open @ far right end of tab bar, regardless of settings. deleting preferences (com.apple.safari.plist) , restarting extensions disabled did not resolve. suspect problem persistent setting left on 1 of safari 5.0 extensions had been using (glims, tabs?). suggestions or advice appreciated.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
