after frustrations around active directory , lion i've decided unbind mac , log in locally (for now). that, need create new local userid , copy data network id new userid.
question is, how do rights don't messed up?
did bit of testing , things seemed go wrong fast.
have local admin a, network user b, , newly created local user c. (all administrators)
logged , admin not see c, added myself read & write , forced down files under c's user directory. able copy directory b c, wasn't able access new files user a. logged user c test , couldn't access folder either.
i'm assuming isnt' windows files inherit parent level copied in.
there easy way this? , there files need run under permissions messed if pushed new ones down parent folder?
