How are you supposed to use the ext. HDD?

so don't have enough space in mbp , need move esp. iphone-movies made hdd. there way more efficiently moving hd , deleting moved files mbp?

same thing music files. can run itunes or iphotos straight ext hdd instead of computer? if so, better , how?
 

with iphoto there simple solution. download iphotolibrarymanager (search via google).
can create , manage multiple libraries, switch between them , can more less put them wherever like. can keep small 1 on notebook , big 1 on ext. hdd.

music. yes can run external drive. there guides show how move music. select new media folder in prefs , mae itunes consolidate music in folder. copy itself. afaik itunes doesn't work or @ multiple locations though.

movies don't know mean more efficient. can write scripts , stuff move 1 month old files or something. can automate part of in end copy , paste.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
