Macbook Pro now or after Lion? Delta?

so i'm in market new macbook pro. i'm using macbook pro 2.16ghz 3gb ram , 320gb 7200rpm drive. it's running quite slow old imac 2.0 core duo 2gb ram restarts in windows faster macbook pro can.

i'm looking @ macbook pro core i7 2.2ghz, 8gb ram, 500gb 7200rpm, anti glare(what i'm use current mac anti glare) $2500 student discount.

should order online or wait until lion released? biggest deal having restore/resetup mac when lion released. rather wait until final release have once. when @ apple store on friday 1 of sales staff told me snow leopard lion delta update. how true quite shocked , thought total bull-$h1t when told me.
 

i think lion delta update save on download time. phil said in keynote.
