27" iMac Freezes, LOUD screeches from speakers?

well problems seem continue new i7 27" imac.

today, computer froze on me , happened, imac had loud screeching sound coming speakers. computer totally unresponsive, had push , hold power button turn off. freaked me out because sudden , loud.

posted while ago computer freezing , have restart holding power button. never had loud screeching speakers when did freeze while ago, every time freezes screeching there.

suggestions problems may be? have added additional ram computer , i'll list specs if helps @ all. have 24" cinema display plugged computer.

27" - 3.4ghz i7 imac
1tb hdd
amd radeon 6970m - 2gb vram
12gb ram (came 4gb, upgraded 12gb)
 

take directly applestore or friendly apple authorized service provider, have hardware issue that's not ram related.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
