i'm upgrading 2009 macbook pro new 2011 model -
i'm swapping out stock 320gb hdd 500gb ssd hybrid, i'm wondering if there's easy way copy os , files current hard drive new one, or whether it'd easier me re-install , start again.
also, on related note, know lion going released soon, , should buying new machine within window free upgrade - think should wait til it's released swap stuff over? require complete reinstall??
1. use carboncopycloner or superduper make 1:1 copy.
2. can upgrade lion, no need reinstallation.
btw, if buy mbp now, stable os, , can update lion whenever (for free).
if wait till lion released , preinstalled on mbp want buy, can hardly go sl, if deem lion unstable needs.
