Macbook sees my Wireless Network as a computer to computer device?!

hello all,

go small college , having problems wireless network. i'm new macworld , not sure whats going on.

have macbook running mac os x 10.6.7.

have hidden, password protected wifi. problem is, airport seeing network computer computer device, therefore can't connect internet!! wife has pc , connects fine, also, other mac users on campus not having issue. use connect fine, , changed on own.

have tried going wireless preferences , deleting network name, , starting scratch, no luck. 1 time had friend same thing , worked fine few days, , went seeing device. can connect other wife spots fine, 1 i'm having troubles with.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
