CaseCrown Royal Standby Vertical Folio for iPad 2 (Review)

have been huge fan of folio style cases both ipad 1 , ipad 2, , when saw new casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2, wanted test 1 out. there isn’t huge need introduction here, should know casecrown previous review, chameleon glider iphone 4. if don’t know are, make kinds of cases , accessories idevices , stand out crowd adding little flavor , uniqueness entire line up. casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2 features ton of different design elements , add ons. apparent being fact unlike of other folio cases available on ipad 2 market, casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2 showcases vertical position instead of horizontal. pretty neat if myself. catch full review after break!

casecrown packaging, royal standby vertical folio ipad 2 came in small plastic wrapping (if remember correctly, threw packaging out right after receiving case) includes case, no other goodies found here. quite surprised casecrown did not include other goodies due fact chameleon glider included both screen protector, nice microfiber cloth, , card installer. anyway, let’s onto track of usual routine. installing case on ipad 2 easy , took me mere few seconds in. have vertically install case slot on top, made easy due smooth , soft felt. after that, done, no other work required.



have done , out of way, let’s take quick overview of buttons , port access. starting @ front of case of course find flap covers screen. unfortunately, there not sleep & awake function incorporated on front. notice casecrown’s logo nicely , subtly embedded on bottom corner on front. taking peak @ find casecrown’s logo, , nice piece of plastic used in conjunction stand. and, when in use, there strap holds against front keep front part of case snugged in tight. when open casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2 of course find ipad plethora of different cutouts , access buttons. starting on inside find casecrown has in fact added nice microfiber lining screen of ipad 2 not scratched. next, find 3 dug in cutouts home button , front facing camera did not obstruct each of individual functions in way, shape, or form. let’s take quick glance on perimeter of case.

starting @ top find case has small cutouts sleep/wake button found kind of hard activate due how misaligned was, same goes camera , volume rockers , silent toggle switch. seemed misaligned few millimeters , found kind of pain access these individual cutouts. lastly, find wide opening dock connector , speaker. speaker had no problem emitting noise , found dock connector large enough fit third party cables. now, case feature nice stand function can used in 1 of 2 ways depending on side , angle prop ipad 2 up. can shift watching movies @ more steeper styled layout or @ less steeper layout typing emails, writing notes, , on , fourth. there 1 little thing not particularly stand though, don’t feel casecrown needed integrate stand since typing in portrait mode can quite pain , watching movies in same orientation lot smaller landscape. overall, think casecrown should have left stand feature in horizontal version of case.



have lot of things casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2, good, bad. begin, let’s start off positives , we’ll negatives little bit later. first, loved fact casecrown decided go simpler design when came case , din’t overpack additional , useless features. , although not useful feature, nice see casecrown went mile added in stand, wether it’s intuitive or not. also, feel of case pretty good, , smooth touch.

unfortunately, that’s problems started begin, since case little bit more smooth, found hard grip, may not best walk , use ipad case due fear of potentially dropping it. there 2 things briefly mention didn’t cover full extent. first being lot of ports (sleep/wake button, volume rockers, camera, etc) don’t align case. although not huge deal, find kind of pain when trying use functions. lastly, found case felt cheaply made due material used , there bowing on front when ipad installed.

overall though, casecrown royal standby ipad 2 pretty case if person in folio style cases ipad 2. while not best case available on market, case may able hold own of other folios available ipad 2. added function of stand can viewable in horizontal instead of usual vertical position (although not useful have thought be) cool well. if casecrown can work out of minor issues case, case have lot of potential. can pick casecrown royal standby vertical folio ipad 2 $35.95 on casecrown’s website. hit link more info.
