OS X Lion slows down my MacBook Pro

my 13' macbook pro (mid 09) has been fine snow leopard... however, after upgraded os x lion, lion started suck battery of macbook quickly, generate lot of heat, increase fan speed, , importantly slow down macbook pro, although used normal internet browsing.

i'm disappointed lion. if situation lasts, downgrade macbook snow leopard.:mad::mad::mad:

latest update:

macbook normal. initial dropped performance possibly due spotlight indexing causes me panic, others mentioned ><. new lion users, normal. no worry.

but, feel startup , login slower before.
 

it's because of spotlight indexing, apparently. give hour or two, , temperature should return normal, should else.
