Password Protect TImeMachine Drive?

i have western digital 6tb external hard drive use timmachine. wondering if it's possible password protect drive, if fell wrong hands, password required access files in backup?
also, possible password protect internal drives in macpro, if stolen, drives not removed password protected macpro , put computer access files there?
sorry if dumb question cant seem find info on over web. thanks.

there's no way protect entire drive.

can create things firmware passwords, unless encrypt entire drive can pull drive out , put in enclosure.

can create password protected dmgs, issue whole drive.
