new mac book air: from linux pc to macOS

dear all,

considering buy next mac book air released.
nowadays linux user on pc hardware, , happy it. main reason change opportunity use microsoft office, unluckly used in institute , have use extensively.

have done mind quite sure buy mac have question make speed transition , understand if can work want under macos.

1) shell 100% compatible between debian , mac os? if not there way make it?
2) mosto of work done in command line , few mouse. want able work , administrate system command line. possible?
3) apt-get software manager. there project have complete , update repository similar software manager?
4) can install gnome , remove graphics interface macos?
5) can install gcc compile software?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
