Photo Booth takes pictures/videos too large.

i have lion running on 2007 imac has vga camera , photo booth keeps recording videos in hd , taking super large photos when max resolution 640x480 on camera itself. videos come out choppy because of way recording. know way fix or different video recording program should use?
 

does have suggestion? why apple increase resolution of everything, on macs vga cameras? -__-

CoD on Mac is Stuck in fail windowed mode.
