Clean Macbook Pro without using the CD

im buying macbook pro late 2009. has os x 10.6.6, , seller has lost recovery cd. so, how rid of private stuff without formatting? thanks!

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
