Apple vs Android: My candid two cents

as has used both platforms, thought go out , post note. i've paid through nose new ipad 2 and, after 3 weeks of owning , using everyday, feel let down.

yes, nice, stylish, , device flaunt; enough? before had ipad, i'd had htc desire hd, running android 2.3, few months. love phone. in fact, turn more ipad.

unlike i'd imagined, ipad 2 has not made laptop obsolete. not portable phone, doesn't pose serious threat utility of smartphone. also, typing on ipad wee bit easier typing on android smartphone. i'm sure android tablet give ipad serious run money. in fact, i'm having second thoughts if entire 'tablet phenomenon' fad!

other things noticed:

* not having adobe flash on ipad significant issue. video experience not seamless , many websites remain out of bounds.
* lack of widgets , seamless notifications conspicuous
* itunes - hell! has used android appreciate how things work when connect device computer.
* free app ecosystem seems way better on android on ios
* apple's apathy towards developing markets, including india, borders on rudeness. have been trying 2 weeks, still can't find applecare number india works. can believe that?

first time i'm using apple product, , seems 'dumbed down' me. may have been apple's intention in first place, don't seem have missed much. ;-)

seems ipad isn't you. return it, guess. there other tablet options out there.

fads, apple can barely keep ipad demand. looks it'll fad on level of ipod. in other words: lasting trend beginning of firmly established market segment.
