How do I setup an external RAID array?

hi all,

new macs experienced pc user of many years, need please.

have large hd movie , music collection want stream around home renovating. know how going stream around home etc. have little idea how setup 6 2tb external drives raid (mirrored array) give me 6tb of usable file space hd movies , music files. appreciate brand , type of external hdd recommend task?

if wondering why not doing on pc simple, want use mac mini's in each room need stream movies , music to, using plex.

have opted apple tv support 720p , quite limited when compared plex.

can please help?

$99, have thought giving atv try see if works ok? mean, need 1080p in every room of house? maybe suffer 720p? =\:)

dont me wrong, plex pretty awesome -- maybe atvs in rooms , minis counts...?
