Mission Control in Lion; how to show desktop # in menu bar (like Spaces used to do?)

spaces used show space number in menu bar; glance @ regularly see space in (1, 2, 3, etc). how mission control display current desktop in menu bar that?

yes, please! after digging around, figured out can @ least create keyboard shortcuts switch between desktops (like used able in spaces - write apple feedback specialist bring spaces back! www.apple.com.macosx.feedback), want able see in menu bar desktop i'm on. know am. haven't been able find way this. they've got fix.
