AVCHD to DVD issues

i'll isn't idea of doing quick , dirty way people video seminars work (as requested them). don't agree it's not call per se.

i've been recording using canon hf-s21 has been champ. store video imovie archive weekend until home , it's time start editing process. record in standard def. mode on camera far quality goes because don't want or need hd quality it's 60i & sd.

issue(s) time has been taking imovie it's thing avchd files , off idvd finish. want raw footage, no edits give recorded. whole idea cutting down time since original footage ends being 16 hrs. total recorded.

time it's taking 1.5hrs. run process around 5hrs.+ , since no edits needed how can cut time if @ all? again doesn't bother me other guy records uses on windows side can complete process in real time.

i've tried sending files on toast 10 encodes , burns dvd in real time great, gives jagged lines , not nice , smooth (of course) imovie>idvd process, not great.

i'm not sure if it's because i'm not checking off in toast or looks on 42" lcd or last, get using toast.

tips or tricks great other having other guy handle video dvd end of things

well if looking raw footage, have keep in mind imovie has convert avchd proper format, send idvd convert once again dvd. if sending raw footage use burning program burn original files, not video dvd- data dvd.

sounds me want send them unedited footage in dvd format?
