Getting new mac book pro, shall i get the biggest hard drive?

hello everyone. become user of mac book pro, wondering customization's should get. i've pretty concluded 8gb not needed because simple watch videos, use word processors, don't play games, make power points/presentations. have ton of videos mp4s....currently have external hard drive have files backed in atleast 2 places, 1 being on external hard drive , other on computer. question shall 750 gb upgrade apple or easier buy separate , install it?

i'm new apple if know of tutorial videos please let me know. thanks.
