Fullscreen with external monitors (dead horse)

hello all. have external tv i'm using vga input. now, attempting things in full screen (such play warcraft 3 or watch slideshow in preview). however, seems default osx "fullscreen" mode turns other screens black. there way of disabling this? thanks.

(ps: vlc has way of turning off, have done (you merely uncheck box says extent of "turn rest of screen black in fullscreen")

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
