Hooking Macbook Pro up to TV

going building sick pc theater setup, right want hook 13" macbook pro tv watch movies hd. understand on 13" (late 09/early 10' believe) need these found online people saying no need spend ridiculous money apple charges "special" cables. think mid 10's or 11's can use hdmi sound , video combined, on mine need 2 separate connections each, correct?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
