Does Applecare extend after repairs?

i'm taking in 2008 penryn mbp repairs on superdrive, firewire, battery , display. coverage expires on july 3rd. concern if else happens within, say, month, sol. know if coverage or sort of coverage extends day of applecare day of repair? (say, go 17 days left 30 days if take in today.)
 

i don't think there's actual official extension on that. happened once me (in case, standard 1yr warranty expired) , gave me break , did anyway. apple understanding customers , if fix didn't come out right should happen post-expiration date, go back, explain, , they'll take loot @ regardless.
