Is AppleCare worth it?

i'm buy imac, i7, 2tb , wondering everyone's thoughts on applecare. worth money? know personal preference, opinions?
 

i wait until year goes , have make decision then. (you have 1 year purchase applecare on machine). deadline tomorrow , haven't decided yet either! i'm leaning towards not doing it. it's price, still expensive if never have use it.
