Finder Sidebar question

in checking finder sidebar preferences in lion noticed hard disks no longer checked has "-" instead, not blank box. when click on devices username imac macintosh hd , network show in finder window. else see in theirs?
 

ticked means devices of type shown, blank means none , - means some.

click until it's tick, right click hard disk , remove sidebar. you'll notice tick -.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
