Root Login?

how enable root user within lion? i've looked online, , i've been instructed launch 'director utility', cannot find anywhere in lion. it's not in utilities folder. can offer advice how enable root login? thanks.
 

directory utility.app resides in /system/library/coreservices/. still shows command enable root.

well.
