lodsys and patents

the issue iap , lodsys gave me think about. isn't first time i've read patents in software arena. wanted feedback fellow people have on mind , professionals such patent holders , patent lawyers. don't know of suitable platform discussion, apps written ios devices i'd post here.

first, i've read lodsys blog , last question replies "you people pay product , services, we.". question is, product getting lodsys? it's not if lodsys manufactures product , sneak warehouse , steal case in middle of night.

agree patents have place although monopolistic. if spent money develop product companies such apple , microsoft spend billions not come idea, produce, perfect, market , sell. i'm talking products usb, lcd displays, windshield wipers car , on.

looking @ iap issue, how time take brainstorm things this? perhaps should patent idea of using nfc, iphone , special door lock replace keys , wait 5-10 years yale make , demand money them stealing idea.

can't tell me kind folks @ lodsys spent thousands, yet alone millions or billions on developing (not talking cost register patent). can that. in pov these kind of patents setting bear-traps innovation.

can remember envisioning watching tv shows on computer in 90s. remember when videos smaller size of postcard? raking in of major networks , likes of others netflix, blockbuster, itunes , forth.

there somewhere in thinking flawed?
