How to overclock Mid 2011 iMac?

hello,
wondering how overclock cpu of mid 2011 imac. have tried every overclocking tool find online in boot camp windows 7, , in 1 way or none of them work. have been able overclock gpu using sapphire trixx program. think stems 2 reasons. 1 of them mac not have legitimate bios, , hardware locked down none of software can identify pll of main board/logic board. know people have done on other recent macs (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=667887) op of thread not identify software or method used overclock cpu. know bad idea due fact components of 2011 imac tightly , closely placed. using 21.5 inch 2.7 ghz i5 quad core , want 2.8 (preferably 3.0) , overclocking 100 mhz should not set computer on fire or since assume components, cooling components of 2.7 imac extremely similar or congruent in next model up. know can done (see above thread) don't know how.
ideas?

thanks,
jimmy

the tool used identified later in thread linked to: nvidia system tools. maybe give try?

intel macs don't use bios; have efi instead. can install refit poke around there if want.

also, on mac os x side, check out zdnet clock. chances won't work on system -- made in 2008 mac pros -- might worth look.

1 more thought: why overclock? imac's cpu turbo boost 3.7ghz when cores aren't saturated. that's faster overclock you'll able achieve given imac's cooling capacity. real benefit oc long-running, heavily multi-threaded tasks -- , you're run heat issues.
