Sharing files between a PC and a Mac using time capsule.

i using time capsule router , external wireless hard drive. not use time machine.

finder, see time capsule , double-click on it, give me "filename".sparsebundle. when double-click on file able mount drive , fine.

recently, connected windows 7 machine network. able use router , configure time capsule using airport utility on pc. have latest bonjour windows installed.

have been able map time capsule external drive (z:\) , can see folders. there, able click on .sparsebundle file, allows me see folder called "bands". when open "bands", long list of files names "aad", "bbf", etc. file sizes of 8192k.

know have fix this?

thanks.

there nothing can fix this how time capsule supposed be. .sparsebundle file image file of mac's backup. it's not meant mounted external drive. windows cannot mount .sparsebundle image file rather sees bunch of folders files inside.

if want use time capsule wireless hard drive, it's idea create directory files need share between computers. may create duplicate files you'll need manually (as time capsule doesn't folders on own hard drive), @ least you'll able access them both machines.

also, it's inadvisable mount , modify contents of backup .sparsebundle file. not have links supporting this, can see possibly corrupting backup.
