Getting true 5.1 sound.

i purchasing z-5500 speakers soon, , set i'm getting actual 5.1 time, every application, including itunes , quicktime.

looking @ griffin firewave, discovered it's no longer supported (no drivers since 2008).

connecting z-5500 digital optical out port give me real 5.1? cable?

, if not, external sound cards firewave was, work , simple use?

nope. surround works in quicktime, itunes , few apps written use it. there nothing can beyond plugging in , selecting optical out in system prefs.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
