MDP/Thunderbolt

hey guys,
i'm new mac. i've had mac mini years now, question thunderbolt feature on new mbp. own newest model, i7 500gb etc... bought thunderbolt hdmi on monoprice. (http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5311&seq=1&format=2)

question is, when hook tv it's not 1080p. seems little grainy, own sony bravia 46" 1080p obviously. when go display setting have @ highest resolution still not clear thought it'd be. why this?

what setting tv at? 1 tv insists goes 1080i mode, not 1080p, , screws things @ first (this windows laptop).

grain sounds faulty cable. display port / thunderbolt port can output 1080p no problem hdmi, wouldn't expect grain.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
