Mac App Store Apps Not in Application Folder

i tried moving of purchases applications folder optibay drive , creating aliases them still able launch them applications folder. however, seems messes updates apps because gave me error when tried updat saying have purchases on different account. else have happen?

it's not advisable move apps applications folder, reason described: can create problems updates. it's best leave apps in applications folder , create folder aliases frequently-used apps.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
