"webkitpluginagent" what is it and why was it invoked

i using safari , unfortunately nasty ads popped (amongs them, ones computer in danger or ones won , window keeps flashing) didn't click ads still downloaded computer.

under top noticed "webkitpluginagent" running. think process related safari , first time i've seen appear though i've used safari before. , why invoked.
 

most "hooks" things flash need connect in safari.
