Can't install new update for Thunderbolt on my MBP

so received notification thunderbolt port on 2011 macbook pro has firmware update. update says computer restart , load of grey screen status bar. computer shuts down , loads screen instantly turns off again , hear chime , computer starts normally. update doesn't want install on machine. else have problem or advice?
 

this odd. can u try downloading update apple website , installing update while on safe boot?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
