Mincraft lagging in Lion

since upgraded lion minecraft has been lagging terribly. else having problem? , there way fix it?
 

need java update?

think read somewhere lion isn't shipping newest version of java. try updating plugin? otherwise i'm not sure. did download client, or trying run in browser? might make difference. may coincidence, too--if you're using multiplayer , upgraded when did, remote server might source of lag. both 1.7.2 , 1.7.3 pistons slowed down me.
