Does Mac Mini use proprietary hard drives like the iMac?

not sure if group knows current imacs use hds proprietary firmware , cabling (all covered in imac group). wonder if new mac minis use same approach?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
