how do i migrate iPhone 4 backup from Snow Leopard to Lion

i have backup of old imac (snow leopard) , have new macbook air (lion).

i'm trying transfer iphone 4 backup (that synced/backuped in snow leopard) new macbook air lion

can no longer boot backup of imac because macbook air doesn't support older oses.

can't use migration assistant because hard drive on macbook air isn't big

there no mobilesync folder in lion (yes, know how re-enable seeing drives , home directory on lion)

ideas?
 

until make first sync in lion not there. make folder , copy contents backup new folder on lion. need make sure have room. mine 2gb. obvious other folder copy sl itunes. need room if migration assistant did not import it.
