HDTV playback better than imac screen?

hi guys,

i'm bit of noob on video, codecs etc etc bear me.

made short 1min film using canon hdslr. edited in premiere cs5 , exported "hdtv 1920x1080 @24p mpeg2"

checked playback on imac 21.5" screen using vlc player in full screen mode, looks kind of noisy , not hoped.

played on samsung 32" hdtv (1080p) , looked brilliant. infact amazed @ difference.

doing wrong here (probably lol)? want hdtv on imac screen, ideas?

in advance!
