Apple Thunderbolt Display-Connection Confusion!

ok, have quite lot explain here going big post.

in september, i'll going university study computer games animation , such on past few months i've sorted out computer need course, or thought did anyway. intended buy mac pro (the upcoming model, following rumours of august update 2011) , 2 apple 27" cinema displays. along this, going purchase atlona hd620 (on 1 side of device there mdp output , hdmi output put in mac , 360 , other side mdp output display) connect xbox 360 1 of displays (mdp). aware hd620 doesn't work 2011 imac due thunderbolt , possible run same problem new mac pro , displays. kept plan , decided i'd when time came.

....and did.

yesterday i'm sure you're aware, apple went , released new thunderbolt display did away mdp completely. looked new displays , thunderbolt , understand it, thunderbolt backwards compatible mdp obviously, mdp can't forward compatible thunderbolt. in other words can insert thunderbolt input cable mdp output can't insert mdp input cable thunderbolt output (right?). make sense regarding hd620 , new imac imac possesses thunderbolt output forcing input mdp hd60 thunderbolt , thus, doesn't work.

not case thunderbolt display. i'm sure you're aware, thunderbolt display possesses output , built-in thunderbolt cable. wonder if using thunderbolt cable mdp output on hd620 work? hd620 connected mac pro via apple thunderbolt cable (highly presumed) thunderbolt output on mac pro mdp output on other side of device , i'm hoping work. i'm wondering, despite using thunderbolt cables between mac pro , display, if work, mdp element on hd620 cancel out usb outputs, speakers, facetime camera , mic functionalities on display?

hope makes sense, i've been rattling brain on months , as love new displays, it's real pain they've come out , shaken plans. hope there members here know they're talking lot more on subject, understanding here mistaken. infact more think , more learn, less confident become. if isn't right, there way set work?

thank you.

you confused hell out of me, couldn't non-thunderbolt display still have sale online? or spend $300 going spend on converter tv?
