Help me diagnose screen problem on iPhone 4

friend installed new lcd/digitizer since original screen shattered. after completion thing phone once powered show vertical blue line , nothing else. i'm gonna bring apple tomorrow have feeling going tell me i'm sol.

in desperate need of help. thank reading.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
