What is a better combination of devices?

-

exhibit a:

-27" imac
-samsung camera (consumer, not professional)
-ipod shuffle
-samsung phone (not smartphone, regular flip phone) low-priced t-mobile service
-ipad
-cds use itunes (burn cds songs listen in car).

exhibit b:

-iphone 4 at&t (use music player in car - attaches car dock)
-13" macbook air

of these sounds better , why?
 

choice more liking.

i've got:
27" imac
"point , shoot" digital camera
ipod touch (but no ipad -- wife has 1 of those)
samsung dumb phone t-mobile prepaid plan because use phone
cds

i've got 13" macbook see using ipad instead if suffice mobile needs (it doesn't, however). having macbook air computer wouldn't suffice me either.

Mail will not Quit when shutting down

5.1 audio out with hdmi? MBP 15inch 2011

i've gone through 2 adapters , endless hours of trying 5.1 audio receiver via hdmi or optical , can't seem work. well, let me correct myself. got work in osx whenever start vlc audio goes 7.1 random configuration comes out of side speaker. can't seem dts or ac3 consistently output vlc receiver. if have use optical don't care want work. got normal audio not dts or ac3 work osx. using bootcamp , windows 7 got vlc output ac3 via optical receiver. never got hdmi sound output in other 2 channel in windows. anyway if can spread light on how accomplish appreciated @ moment using http://www.kanexlive.com/v2 claim pass uncompressed 5.1/7.1 dts , ac3 through. entire thing frustrating. technical support laughable.   bump   Forums Macs Notebooks ...
