Microsoft Office 2011 format problem

i have office 2011 mac, think decent office suite, have issue. when save document , try , opening in office 2003 windows (which college uses), won't open. happens if save in old .doc format.

there way can sort this? i'm having use neooffice @ moment , it's utterly horrible, quite frankly.

i can't solve problem, can tell regularly email .doc files written out office 2011, , people office 2003 read them no trouble.

have "window-friendly attachments" checked? might have it.

if nothing else works, use neo office file converter. still have lot of archived windows wordperfect files. open them in open office , save them .doc files, , work on them in word.

work usual in 2011, save .docx, file neo office, bring in .docx file, , save .doc. sure, it's pta using no conversion should take moment , don't have work in no.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
