OPC on Mac OS, possible?

hello,

new mac environment , have been tasked programming data exchange between vision camera , mac pc. camera has built-in opc data server, hoping use broadcast value read barcode on mac pc, mac pc play referenced itunes song barcode value. have suggestions on best way implement task?
 

will have gui? or run in background windowless app?

can tell more camera? "vision camera" mean video camera? particular model of still photo digital camera? else?
