OS X Lion Success!

i tried upgrade on day 1 resulting in buggy , broken system. believe application incompatibilities. yesterday performed clean install usb flash drive following http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/08/make-a-bootable-mac-os-x-10-7-lion-installer-from-a-usb-flash-drive/. lion works great. recommendations:

1. clean install of lion, not upgrade.
2. check new versions of applications use , install 1 one instead of restoring applications time machine.
3. repair disk permissions
4. don't judge operating system's battery or speed until indexing done.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
