Some checks before I attempt to upgrade my JB 3GS 4.1 to 4.2

i have 3gs 4.1 , 05.11 bb. want upgrade 4.2 instead of 4.3 because i've read 4.3 not stable. phone unlocked , rely on that. i've been told not use greenpoison instead use snowbreeze2.2 can maintain bb.

don't understand if use greenpoison, bb upgraded , phone no longer unlocked? that's big issue not use greenpoison.

here's plan upgrade please tell me if i'm doing right.

1) save shsh in case goes wrong.

you have use either pwnage tool or snowbreeze create custom firmware stock firmware download. put phone in pwned dfu mode using either pwnage tool, or redsn0w , restore custom firmware.

if want go 4.2 custom still need shsh version. if don't have shsh 4.2 way late.
